Attorney George A. Oggero

George is a lifelong Houston resident. He graduated from St. Thomas High School and then Texas A&M University. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2007.
He is experienced in real estate, estate planning & probate, civil/commercial matters, personal, injury, business matters, bankruptcy, general counsel on-demand, and litigation.
He is active in the community serving as past-president of the St. Thomas Alumni Board, a current member of the Dads Club Aquatic Center Board of Directors, current member of the Dickinson Little Italy Festival of Galveston County Board of Directors, and former PTO President for Briarmeadow Charter School.

Representative Transactions & Litigation Highlights:

  • Developed hundreds of estate plans designed to meet specific client goals, concerns, and budget, including powers of attorney for health care and financial matters, guardian nominations for children, advanced directives, and agent appointment for disposition of remains
  • Probate of wills, will copies, holographic wills, and codicils, and lost wills
  • Represented numerous clients in contested probate matters
  • Small estates affidavits and affidavits of heirship
  • Negotiated numerous family settlement agreements for quick conflict resolution
  • Heirship determinations, DNA testing and paternity, independent and dependent administrations, and trust administrations, all in contested and uncontested probate matters
  • Oversaw hundreds of real estate transactions from opening title, escrow, through close
  • Represented hard-money lenders and prepared all transaction documents - loan documents, notes, deeds of trust, compliance documents
  • Represented real estate investors across various transactions, residential and commercial
  • Created entities and business agreements for for-profit and non-profit companies
  • Currently serves as outside general to a private oil and gas company
  • Currently serves as outside general counsel to a small technology company and worked on its reverse merger to take it public
  • Successfully recovered additional funds for clients in car accident matters against insurance companies
